秘撈 (To moonlight)

有人說職場如戰場，很多人為保住飯碗不擇手段。今天就讓我們探討一下很多有關工作上的英語。

1. 卸膊

To pass the buck to sb.

You should take full blame. Don't pass the buck to him.

2. 蛇王

To goof off/ to slack (off) at work

You'll get fired if you goof off too much at work.

3. 打雜

(i)  Office boy/ girl (a young person employed to do routine tasks in a business office)

He started as an office boy, but ended up as head of the firm. 

(ii)  幫某人打雜

To fetch and carry for sb.

You should find something better to do than fetch and carry for him all day.

4. 秘撈

To moonlight

Almost every employee must moonlight in second jobs simply to subsist.

5. 人工好奀

Meagre (British)/ meager (American)

I was supporting a family of a meagre media salary.

我在媒体微薄的工资支持着一家三口.

 I get only meagre pay.

我只得到很少的报酬.

6. 一腳踢

It is a one-man operation in the office.
辦公室里的工作要由他一個人包辦。

7. 孭鑊

Take the fall/ blame

He kept his mouth shut and let her take the fall.

8. 打小報告

Tell on/ rattle on/ snitch on A to B

向B打A的小報告

9. 講人壞話

Bad-mouth sb. / speak ill of sb. / gossip about sb.

10. 搞小圈子

(i)  Form a small circle/clique

(ii) Small-circle election

小圈子選舉

(iii) It was an in-joke. (圍內笑話)

这是小圈子里的一个玩笑。
