老婆奴 (A hen-pecked husband)

上次說到小情人在節日約會，他們兩人十分恩愛(an affectionate/ a loving couple)，很快就同居(to shack up with each other)，更決定閃電結婚(lightning marriage)，朋友們都以為他們是奉子成婚(shotgun marriage)。

丈夫很體貼(to be thoughtful)，什麼事都遷就(to humor)妻子，是個典型的住家男人(a typical family man)，但外人把他看成是老婆奴(a hen-pecked husband)。不料妻子竟不懂珍惜另一半(her significant other) ，與其他男人偷情(to have a clandestine love affair with another man)，更多次用美人計(honey trap)騙取陌生男人的金錢。丈夫最初看見妻子頸上的吻痕(love bites/ hickeys，即廣東話的「咖喱雞」)時是懷疑，後來親眼目睹妻子一腳踏兩船 (to two-time him/ to be unfaithful to him)才敢相信。

丈夫默默付出多年，竟換來如此下場，明明說過二人要一起慶祝25年的銀禧(silver jubilee)、50年的golden jubilee、60年的diamond jubilee，甚至是75年的platinum jubilee。他失望得沉溺於自憐中(to wallow in self-pity)，更在一怒之下(in a fit of rage)，二人開始鬧分手 (to be headed for splitsville)。妻子這才知道丈夫有多好，想竭力挽救婚姻(to salvage the marriage)，可惜已覆水難收(It's no use crying over spilt milk)。二人最終和平分手。
